The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

SHAUN LAWSON, 35, of 121 Auburn St., Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with first-degree forgery and fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 21 at approximately 2:48 p.m. Lawson was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for deposits of counterfeit money orders to Webster Bank. The total amount deposited was $1,540, police reported. Lawson was given a court date of March 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

JOSEPH CYR, 24, of 53 Brookside Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 21 officers responded to 53 Brookside Ave. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument in a vehicle, police reported, Cyr punched the dashboard. He also splashed water in the victim’s face from a water bottle, police reported. Cyr was given a court date of March 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

JONATHAN SEGO, 22, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 22 with two counts of sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 11:27 a.m. Sego was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on March 10, 2016. Police reported Sego stole two Xbox games valued at $120, from the victim. Sego was given a court date of March 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $80 cash bond.

RICHARD HOLLAND, 67, of 162 North Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged March 22 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 12:15 a.m. an officer responded to North Hoadley Street for a suspicious person. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Holland was wanted on an active arrest warrant out of Troop I. Holland was given a court date of March 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

JASON WARGO, 18, of 278 High St., Naugatuck, was charged March 22 with breach of peace.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 3:02 p.m. officers responded to 278 High St. for a domestic disturbance between mother and son. During an argument, police reported, Wargo pushed the victim to the floor. Wargo was given a court date of March 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ALFONSO BALAREZO, 42, of 46 Bridge St., Naugatuck, was charged March 22 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 3:40 p.m. Balarezo turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Balarezo was given a court date of March 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $250 cash bond.

TIMOTHY THORTON, 48, of 1081 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged March 22 with two counts of breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 7:58 p.m. an officer responded to 1081 New Haven Road for a disturbance. Police reported Thornton argued and yelled at the victim. When the officer arrived Thornton was uncooperative and argumentative with the Officer, police reported. Thornton was given a court date of April 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

THOMAS BRUZIK, 62, of 48 High St., Naugatuck, was charged March 23 with second-degree threatening and breach of peace.

Police reported on March 23 Bruzik was arrested on an active arrest warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on March 9, 2016. During that incident, police reported, Bruzik became combative by yelling and threatening the victim, who is a neighbor. Bruzik was released on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on April 6.

JOSEPH MACDONALD, 67, of 684 Maple Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged March 23 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 10:32 p.m. officers responded to 684 Maple Hill Road for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, MacDonald slapped the victim. MacDonald was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

RICARDO HOHL, 34, of 46 Bridge St., Naugatuck, was charged March 25 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 25 at approximately 1:42 p.m. Hohl was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Derby. Hohl was given a court date of April 13 to appear at Derby Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

KEVIN HUNT, 27, of 11 Southview St., Naugatuck, was charged March 26 with second-degree criminal mischief and weapons in vehicles.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 2:39 a.m. an officer responded to a vandalism complaint on City Hill Street. Police reported Hunt slashed four tires to the victim’s vehicle. The victim is a former girlfriend to Hunt, police reported. Hunt was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 2:46 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on May Street. During the investigation, police reported, Hunt was found to be in possession of a survival knife. Hunt was given a court date of April 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

JOSE MOREIRA, 37, of 300 East Waterbury Road, Naugatuck, was charged March 26 with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 2:57 a.m. officers responded to 300 East Waterbury Road for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Moreira threatened to harm the victim. Moreira was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

DOMINGOS TEIXEIRA, 50, of 91 Rockwell Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 26 with falsely reporting an incident.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 9:26 p.m. officers responded to 91 Rockwell Ave. for multiple 911 calls. Police reported Teixeira made several calls using the 911 system to report an incident at a local bar. Teixeira was advised by the officers his complaint was not a criminal matter and not to use the 911 system for non-emergency calls. Police reported Teixeira continued to call 911 for a non-emergency. Teixeira was given a court date of April 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

SEAN LYONS, 25, of 17 Wooster St., Waterbury, was charged March 26 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 11:16 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on North Church Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Lyons was operating under the influence of alcohol. Lyons was given a court date of April 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

STEVEN GRILLO, 39, of 146 Phoenix Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 27 with breach of peace, threatening and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on March 27 at approximately 3:17 a.m. officers responded to 146 Phoenix Ave. for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Grillo slapped the victim. He threatened to further harm the victim, police reported. When the victim attempted to call the police, Grillo tried to take her cell phone from her, police reported. Grillo was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
